(a) will the Minister please provide a breakdown of expenditure to date, including the name of the service provider or contractor, the value of the service provided, and the nature of the service provided;
(b) for each person or organisation identified in (a), will the Minister please identity which are considered ‘local’ contractors.; and
(c) how does the Minister define a ‘local’ contractor?

A list of subcontractors engaged by Thomas Building, under the project’s main works contract, is also provided in the attachment. Total expenditure to date on subcontractor engagements through the main works contract with Thomas Building is $3,943,702.14 (including GST). This figure includes $980,000 (including GST) attributed to local businesses. (c) In accordance with the State Government’s Buy Local Policy, a business is deemed to be a regional business when it bids from a permanent operational office within the prescribed distance of the contract point of delivery. For this project, the prescribed distance is within 400 kilometres of the construction works.
