12. Hon ROBIN CHAPPLE to the minister representing the
Minister for Water:
I refer to the resignation of
Michael Hollett, the chairperson of the Water Corporation.
(1) Prior to Mr
Hollett's resignation, was the minister aware that Michael Hollett was
the director of Kimberley Marine Support
Base Pty Ltd, the proponent behind the $110 million floating wharf at Broome?
(2) When
appointing Michael Hollett as chairperson of the Water Corporation, was the
minister aware that 15 months previously, Kimberley Marine Support Base Pty Ltd
had entered into a non-binding agreement with Kimberley Ports Authority?
(3) If yes to (1)
and (2), was this information passed on to the Minister for Ports prior to the
approval for Kimberley Marine Support Base
Pty Ltd to develop a floating wharf and onshore terminal at the port of Broome?
(4) Prior to
Michael Hollett's resignation, was the minister aware that he was the
director of Yurra Pty Ltd?
