I refer to Tender request number BMW0201113 for Burswood Temporary Car Park and Lake Infill, and I ask: (a) is this Tender to assist in the development of the new hotel to be developed by Crown Perth; (b) if so, what is the expected cost of this project; (c) why is the State Government tendering for this work; (d) will Crown Perth be providing financial assistance for this project; (e) if yes to (d), how much will be provided by Crown Perth; (f) if no to (d), why not; and (g) what is the expected total cost of this project to the taxpayer?

(a) No. An addendum to the tender was issued to include civil works to assist in the development, but these works were subsequently excluded and did not form part of the contract that was awarded.
(b) Not applicable.
(c) The work is being managed by the Department of Finance's Building Management and Works business unit on behalf of the Burswood Park Board which is the body with responsibility for the land on which the work is being carried out.
(d) Yes.
(e) The full cost of the project including all design and management charges. The final amount is yet to be determined.
(f) Not applicable.
(g) Nil.
