Western Australian local content—Percentage
807. Hon Steve Martin to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister
for Transport:
I refer to freedom
of information documents obtained in relation to Alstom participation plan
reports from July 2020 to July–December 2024 and note that for each
report, the percentage of Western Australian local content reached has been
redacted.
(1) For what reason was the percentage of local
content reached redacted in both cases?
(2) What was the percentage of local WA content
reached:
(a) as of the 2020 report;
(b) as of the 2024 report; and
(c) as of the most recent report?
(3) Noting that the report is prepared by Alstom
and then signed off by the Public Transport Authority, what independent
consultant or body is involved in verifying both the audit methods and results?
(4) How does the government respond to concerns
that it is effectively marking its own homework and concealing the working?
(5) Where were the Made in WA stickers
manufactured?
