1. $500,000 was allocated to the Drug and Alcohol Office for the purpose of building a Sobering Up Centre in Carnarvon.
2. The funds were allocated in 2002/03.
3. No. In 2003, the Police Lock Up data and discussions with the Carnarvon Police indicated that the need for a Sobering Up Centre had declined markedly.
4. The funds remain with the Department of Health.
