I refer to the following list of State Government roads in the City of Bunbury: Bunbury Outer Ring Road – Stages 2 to 4; South West Highway – Picton realignment; Old Coast Road –Australind Bypass to Australind; South West Highway – Robertson Drive to Picton; Koombana Drive, adjacent to Leschenault Inlet; Ocean Drive, Williams Street to Mangles Street; Ocean Drive, Hastie Street to Hudson Road; Somerville Drive, west end to intersection opposite Washington Avenue; Sandridge Road, at corner of Pennant Road; Estuary Drive; Spencer Street; Intersection of Spencer Street, Forrest Avenue and Beach Road; South West Highway at Dodson Road; South West Highway at Vittoria Road; Vittoria Road, at Jeffery Road; Stirling Street and Austral Parade intersection, and ask:
(a) what funding was budgeted in 2012–2013 for repairs, upgrades or maintenance to these roads:
(i) if applicable, what specific project is this funding allocation for (e.g. shoulder maintenance, resealing, widening, duplication);
(ii) if applicable, of the budgeted funds have any been acquitted; and
(iii) if no funding was budgeted, why not; and
(b) is funding proposed for the abovementioned roads or section of roads in the 2013–2014 Budget:
(i) if applicable, how much funding has been allocated and over what time frame;
(ii) if applicable, of this funding, what specific projects will be funded; and
(iii) if no funding proposed, why not?

(a) No funding was allocated in 2012-13 for the only State roads listed being, Bunbury Outer Ring Road Stages 2 and 3 and South Western Highway. However $40 million was expended on the Bunbury Outer Ring Road Stage 1 as outlined in the State Budget Papers. The remaining roads listed are local roads under the care and control of the Local Government and as such, funding for local roads is allocated by the relevant Council. (a)(i) Not applicable in terms of the State roads. (a)(ii) Not applicable in terms of the State roads. (a)(iii) In terms of the listed State roads, the State sought funding for the Bunbury Outer Ring Road Stages 2 and 3 from the Commonwealth Government Nation Building Program. However, the Federal Government did not allocate any funds. (b) In terms of the listed State roads, no. (b)(i) Not applicable in terms of the State roads. (b)(ii) Not applicable in terms of the State roads. (b)(iii) The Bunbury Outer Ring Road Stages 2 and 3 was submitted to the Federal Government for funding under the Nation Building 2 Program however it did not receive any funding in the 2013-14 Federal budget.
