2) The WA Beekeepers Association has provided recommendations for short term assistance for beekeepers. These recommendations will be considered by the Dry Season Advisory Committee along with other submissions regarding State assistance from agricultural industry groups. Advice from Centrelink in Canberra states that beekeepers are eligible to apply for Farm Help support which includes: * income support; * professional financial advice; * a re-establishment grant for those wishing to exit the industry; and * and a re-training grant.
