515. Hon LJILJANNA RAVLICH to the minister representing the
Minister for Training and Workforce Development:
(1) Has the
state government signed a contract with the Australian Trades College Western
Australia, formerly the Australian Technical College, to provide school-based
traineeships?
(2) Is it a
requirement of the contract for the ATC group to provide one day a week of paid
training to its school-based trainees?
(3) Will the
minister advise what he is doing to assist the 61 trainees in the Gosnells–Armadale
district so that they can finish their school-based traineeships?
(4) What will
the minister do to ensure that ATC group meets its funding obligations and the
commitment made to school-based trainees?
(5) Will the
minister look at withdrawing funding to the ATC group if it fails to meet its
obligation to provide training in WA?
