123. Hon SUE ELLERY to the
Minister for Education:
(1) Is the
minister aware of concerns that the Denmark Golden Hill Steiner School decided
that a significant number of its 2014 year 6 class should repeat the curriculum
in 2015?
(2) What investigation has the Department of Education
Services conducted into this matter?
(3) Is the minister of the view that such a decision is in
the best interests of those students?

(1) Yes.
(2) Under
section 181(3) of the School Education Act 1999, I asked the governing body of
Golden Hill Steiner School to provide me with further information on the
matter. The Department of Education Services has reviewed this information and
provided me with advice under section 181(1) of the School Education Act 1999.
(3) I am
currently considering the information provided to me on this matter.
