630. Hon KEN TRAVERS to the Leader of the House representing
the Premier:
I refer to tabled paper 4829.
(1) Can the
Leader of the House confirm that this document is the government's
response, in accordance with standing order 191, to the recommendations of the
Standing Committee on Environment and Public Affairs' twenty-sixth
report regarding petition 145?
(2) Did cabinet approve this response; and, if yes, on what
date?
(3) Are
government responses under standing order 191 required to be approved by
cabinet before they are tabled?
(4) If no to (3), how are government responses determined?
(5) Do all
ministers accept collective responsibility for government responses under
standing order 191 and are they bound by those responses in accordance with the
Westminster tradition?
