The officer had received information and verbal complaints from members of the local Aboriginal community that there were people camping on the Crown Reserve 24574. In their role as a DIA Regional Officer, responsible for providing advice to the Aboriginal Lands Trust on matters affecting the care and control of lands managed by the Trust, the officer approached the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Council to request an investigation of the situation.
