I refer to shutdown crews across the resource sector in Western Australia, and ask if the Minister is aware that: (a) crews are working two and three day shutdowns to increase productivity as opposed to five days; (b) wages for crews are approximately $36.00 per hour, plus $9.00 allowance; (c) contracts are for 12 hours a day but crews are working 13 hours a day; (d) crews receive payment for 24 hour weeks of approximately $1080 but are working 26 hour weeks; (e) the after tax payment for (d) is approximately $750.00; (f) the days of travel there and back are not paid for; (g) after airport parking of approximately $70.00 and fuel of $50.00 this leaves $630 for four days work (including two days of unpaid travel), which equates to $157.50 per day; and (h) crews are supplied with inferior personal protective equipment?
