In relation to all agencies, departments and government-trading enterprises within the Minister’s portfolio of responsibilities, I ask: (a) does the agency, department or government-trading enterprise maintain a social media presence; (b) what is the social media site or sites which the organisation regularly uses; (c) when did the organization commence using the social media site or sites; (d) what is the general nature of the organisation’s use of the social media site or sites; and (e) what is the total cost, if any, of the organisation’s presence on social media sites?

(a) Yes
(b) The Department maintains three Facebook pages.  These are for WA Seniors Card Centre, Parenting WA and Youth.
(c) The WA Seniors Card Facebook page was created in June 2012; the Youth Facebook page was created in December 2012 and the Parenting WA Facebook page was created in March 2013.
(d) The nature of the use of the three Facebook pages is as follows:
- The WA Seniors Card Facebook page promotes Seniors Card competitions and special offers for WA Seniors Card holders. The Facebook page also shares links about services and events of interest to WA Seniors.
- The Youth Facebook page promotes events and activities of interest to youth in Western Australia including links to youth resources, surveys, competitions, mentoring and opportunities for youth to contribute in the community.
- The Parenting WA Facebook page offers information about events, activities and resources for parents and carers in WA.  The Facebook page promotes the Parenting WA Service and acts as an information hub for issues relating to parenting.
