I refer to the Premier’s Statement in the House on 21 November 2013 and his announcement that: Those bodies that are listed on the paid boards and committees register, which is published on the Department of the Premier and Cabinet’s website, are now required to publish the names of members of boards and committees and the rates of remuneration allocated to them, and ask: (a) how are the names of members of boards and committees and the rates of the remuneration allocated to them published; and (b) where are the names of members of boards and committees and the rates of the remuneration allocated to them published?

(a)-(b) The Public Sector Commission Annual Reporting Framework 2013/14 will require agencies to report in their annual reports on the individual and aggregate costs of remunerating all positions on boards and committees as defined in the
Premier's Circular 2010/02 - State Government Boards and Committees
, and which appear in the Register published by the Department of the Premier and Cabinet.
This includes the names of all board and committee members and remuneration received, excluding travel expenses incurred as per the
Public Sector Commissioner's Circular 2009-20 - Reimbursement of Travel Expenses for Members of Government Boards and Committees
and the
Premier's Circular 2012/03 - Guidelines for Official Air Travel by Government Officers.
It is noted however, that there may be exceptional circumstances where the names of members can be withheld for reasons such as security, sensitivity or legislative restrictions.
