In view of the article in

newspaper dated September 26 2000 where the Managing Director of Channel Seven, Mr David Aspinall, stated his dissatisfaction with the process for the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre and that he had lodged five pages of complaints with the Government, will the Treasurer please advise -
(1)
What redress has been sought for the unsuccessful tenderers of the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre?
(2)
What steps has the Treasurer or his officers taken to protect the legal position of the State's taxpayers so that they are not exposed to strong legal claims to redress and/or compensation from the unsuccessful tenderers or from subsequent additional financial claims upon the state either from the successful proponent or any future operator of the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre?
