the minister representing the Minister for Planning:
I refer to the Chinatown project,
which has $1 million allocated to it for each of the 2013–14 and 2014–15
financial years. For 2013–14 and 2014–15 to date —
(a) how much of the funding
allocated for the Chinatown project was expended; and
(b) what work was completed on the
Chinatown project?

of this question.
(a) In 2013–14, expenditure
was $1.05 million; in 2014–15 there has been nil expenditure to date.
(b) In 2013–14,
works included multi-poles, murals, streetscaping on the southern side of Roe
Street; dot paving; three years' sponsorship of the Chung Wah Association
for the Chinese New Year Festival; and, in 2014–15, there have been nil
works to date.
