CORONAVIRUS — VACCINATIONS — TARGET
1037. Hon WILSON TUCKER to the minister representing the
Minister for Health:
I
thank the minister for his answer to my previous question. I refer to the WA
government's COVID-19 vaccination rollout.
(1) When does the government expect
80 per cent of the eligible population will be fully vaccinated?
(2) When does the government expect
90 per cent of the eligible population will be fully vaccinated?
(3) Has the
discovery of the new Omicron variant of COVID-19 had an impact on the uptake of
vaccination; and, if so, how?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following answer is provided on behalf of the
Minister for Health.
(1) In December 2021.
(2) In late January to early
February 2022.
(3) Not at this
stage. The state government will continue to follow the public health advice.
All eligible Western Australians should get vaccinated as soon as possible.
