In relation to your advice in June 2009 of your intention to implement a new organisational structure for the Department of Agriculture and Food (DAFWA) establishing five new directorates, those being natural resource management and biosecurity services; industry development, including food and research; regional services; trade and market services; and business services, I ask,
(a) now that these five new directorates have been established, please advise if they are now fully operational and if so;
(i) when did the posts become operational;
(ii) how many consultants have been appointed to fill the five posts;
(iii) are the consultants working for an outside agency or are they consulting full-time for DAFWA;
(iv) how many of these consultants are working full time for the department;
(v) how many are working for the department on a part-time basis;
(vi) what is the contractual term of each consultant;
(vii) what is the funding allocation for each consultant for the full term of their contract?
(b) has the request for funding these five new directorates been approved and if so;
(i) on what date did the department receive the approval;
(c) at the completion of each consultant’s contract, what strategy is in place to evaluate the success of the restructure?
