I refer to regional hospitals or health services where a person presents requiring a sexual assault forensic kit examination and no trained staff are available on site, and I ask: (a) in the past six months, how many presentations occurred, broken down by region; and (b) in each of those cases in (a), what was the wait time or travel time required for the person to access a forensic examination?

(a) – (b) All WA Country Health Service sites are able to do early evidence collections with 24/7 support from the Sexual Assault Resource Centre. WACHS does not record data in relation to patient presentations for more detailed forensic examinationswhen appropriately trained personnel may not be present at site.
