Since the start of this year: (a) how many women have been taken out of Bandyup Women's Prison and transported to hospital for pregnancy termination: (i) how many of these women were pregnant on their reception at Bandyup Women's Prison; (ii) how many of these women were sentenced prisoners; and (iii) were any of these women shackled during transportation? If so, how many and what was their security classification; (b) how many women have been taken out of Bandyup Women's Prison and transported to hospital for emergency pregnancy-related treatment, i.e. not terminations: (i) how many of these women were pregnant on their reception at Bandyup Women's Prison; (ii) how many of these women were sentenced prisoners; and (iii) were any of these women shackled during transportation? If so, how many and what was their security classification; (c) how many women have been taken out of Bandyup Women's Prison and transported to hospital for emergency treatment not related to pregnancy: (i) how many of these women were sentenced prisoners; and (ii) were any of these women shackled during transportation? If so, how many and what was their security classification ; (d) how many complaints (via ACCESS) have been made by prisoners at Bandyup Women's Prison about officers’ conduct; (e) how many officers at Bandyup Women's Prison have been suspended due to disciplinary action; (f) what are the reasons for this disciplinary action: (i) have these officers returned to work or are due to return to work at Bandyup Women's Prison; and (ii) has the Minister for Corrective Services been informed of any suspensions; and (g) how many officers at Bandyup Women's Prison have been dismissed due to misconduct: (i) what was the nature of the misconduct; and (ii) has the Minister for Corrective Services been informed of any dismissals?

The Department of Corrective Services advises:
Departmental policy prohibits the use of restraints while escorting pregnant women. Pregnant women are escorted using a 'soft' vehicle, a sedan or station wagon, rather than a secure vehicle.
