851. Hon KATE DOUST to the Minister for Finance:
I refer to the redevelopment of Hale House for the Office of
the Premier and Cabinet Room.
(1) What is the final actual or
estimated cost for the entire redevelopment?
(2) What is the
total number of people, including the Premier and auxiliary services such as
security personnel, who will occupy Hale House when fully occupied?
(3) What was the
total cost of moving staff previously accommodated in Hale House into new
accommodation as a result of the redevelopment?
(4) Has an
official opening of the redeveloped Hale House been planned; and, if so, on
what date will the opening be held?
(5) Has a decision been made to rename Hale House; and, if
yes, what name has been chosen?

I thank the member for notice of the
question.
(1) The project
is tracking within the approved budget of $25.5 million. The actual cost will
not be known until a cost reconciliation is carried out once the project is
fully complete.
(2) Around 35
staff from the Office of the Premier and Cabinet secretariat and two security
personnel, so that is 37.
(3) A total of
$1.4 million was allocated to the Department of Education for relocation and
temporary accommodation lease costs.
(4) No arrangements for an official
opening have been made.
(5) Yes. The name is Office of the
Premier and Cabinet Room.
