I thank the member for some notice of the question. (1) The Department of Regional Development and Lands and the nine regional development commissions will administer this funding. The Regional Development Council will provide advice to the Minister for Regional Development on the notional allocation of contestable and strategic funding, in particular on projects that are of statewide significance. (2) An amount of $54.4 million has been allocated to meet commitments made under the regional grants scheme, administered by the regional development commissions. The balance is provided to fund projects that are of statewide significance. The Minister for Regional Development has requested the Regional Development Council to provide advice to him on projects that could be funded under this allocation.
