Regarding the proposal by the Town of Vincent to lease Leederville Oval to Perth Glory and the proposed $8 million to be provided from state government funds, I ask - (1) Does the Government intend to provide funds to assist this proposal? (2) If so, from which budget item will the funds be provided? (3) What will the proposed $8 million be used for? (4) Is it government policy to provide such a subsidy, effectively, to a private company such as Perth Glory? (5) Is the Government aware of significant community opposition to the proposed leasing arrangements?
