I refer to the Minister’s media statement of 27 June 2012 concerning the announcement that Hilton Worldwide and Ramtron Australia would develop a hotel in Karratha, and I ask: (a) when was the Minister last apprised of progress in relation to the hotel development; (b) how was the Minsiter apprised of this progress; (c) what progress has been made since the Minsiter's announcement of 27 June 2012; and (d) is the hotel expected to be open mid-2014?

(a) Hotel development in Karratha has been the subject of considerable discussion, with the most recent update being provided at a meeting on Friday 8 November 2013.
(b) At a meeting with LandCorp representatives.
(c) - (d) Discussions with the hotel proponents are proceeding and an announcement on the timeframes to finalise the process and progress the development is expected in coming weeks.
