KARRATHA–TOM PRICE ROAD
691. Hon JACQUI BOYDELL to the minister representing the
Minister for Transport:
I refer to funding for the Karratha–Tom
Price road.
(1) Will the
minister table all her correspondence with the federal government on the
matter?
(2) Will the
minister table all her correspondence with the City of Karratha on the matter?
(3) Has the
minister secured federal funding for this important road yet?
(4) If no to (3),
why not?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) I table the
attached document.

(2) The minister
has not formally written to the City of Karratha regarding funding but has met
with the council a number of times to discuss infrastructure items, including
the Karratha–Tom Price road.
(3)–(4) Commonwealth
funding support is yet to be secured, but we are hopeful that the federal
government will support this project.
