I refer to question on notice number 3230 of 14 March 2006. The Minister has advised in her response to this question on 4 April 2006 that the Business Case for the new Denmark health facility identified 52 places not beds as being needed by 2006 in Denmark. However, the Business Case in fact shows that 58 places are needed by 2006 and of these 52 are for high and low aged care and therefore residential beds. Given this -

Any change to the Commonwealth benchmarks that increases the number of places assessed as being required, will recognise the trend towards more community based care not residential beds.
