I refer to page 568, service summary, Arts Industry Support in the 2010–2011 State Budget and the fact that the Minister’s department has expended funds to join the International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies, and I ask:
(a) what extra funding commitment has the Minister made for Western Australian artists and companies to benefit from the Australia Council for the Arts hosting the fifth World Summit on Arts and Culture in Melbourne, Australia, in October 2011; and
(b) with reference to the mid-year statements on page 117, under Grant Savings, detailing International Showcase Arts Events (cessation) with a $1.5 million cut in 2010–2011, does this also relate to the Premier’s previous comments that there would be an arts component to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in October 2011, comments which are missing in his latest statement on CHOGM?
