(a) - (b) The building contract for the new primary school at Annie's Landing in Ellenbrook has been awarded and construction commenced on 5 February 2015. The new school will open at the commencement of the 2016 school year.
There are no current plans to establish a new primary school in the locality of Caversham. Children who reside in the developing residential area to the south of Reid Highway may attend either East Beechboro Primary School or Caversham Primary School.
The Department of Education regularly analyses enrolment growth in public schools and demographic trends across the State. The analysis generates the priorities for the provision of additional accommodation required, and the location and timing of new schools.
