DEPARTMENT FOR CHILD PROTECTION AND FAMILY SUPPORT —
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER — TRAVEL
245. Hon STEPHEN DAWSON to the
Minister for Child Protection:
I refer to the impending departure of the chief executive
officer of the Department for Child Protection and Family Support. Will the
minister provide details of any work-related interstate or overseas travel
undertaken by the CEO since 1 July 2013?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the member for some notice of the question.
I reiterate the issue of Terry Murphy leaving the department
and wish him all the very best. I am advised by the Department for Child
Protection and Family Support that since 1 July 2013 no overseas work-related
travel has been undertaken by the chief executive officer. Between 29 July and
31 August 2013, interstate travel was undertaken by the CEO at the invitation
of the government of the Northern Territory. The purpose of this travel was to
make presentations on the Signs of Safety program's approach to child
protection, including to cabinet members and their staff. This travel was fully
paid for by the Northern Territory government.
