I refer to Minister’s media release of 26 June 2010 headlined ‘Visionary plan for Newman’, and I ask:
(a) how many extra residents have settled in Newman since the announcement of the visionary blueprint to revitalise Newman, double its population and transform the town into a major sub-regional service centre;
(b) how many residences have been completed for occupation by residents in Newman in each of the following categories:
(i) townhouses;
(ii) low-rise apartments;
(iii) small lot houses; and
(iv) large lot houses;
(c) what heavy industry has located to Newman since your announcement; and
(d) what potential heavy industry businesses are in discussion with the State Government in regard to utilising land in Newman?
