(a) As at 18 October 2007:
Total available multi-day beds: 58
Total available same day beds: 11
(b) For each Wednesday from 7 March 2007 there were:
(i) Total available multi-day beds: 58
Total available same day beds: 11
(ii) The table below indicates multi-day bed activity. A further three operating lists per fortnight are commencing from 12 November 2007 in line with the recruitment of an additional six anaesthetists at Fremantle and Kaleeya Hospitals; obstetric services will be enhanced with the commencement of an additional full time consultant obstetrician on 8 November 2007; paediatric services have also been enhanced with the recent recruitment of an additional sessional neonatologist; plans are in hand to expand ASI gynaecological procedures; and extra nursing staff have recently been recruited to the Rehabilitation Unit.
