I refer to QON 1233 asked in the other place on 7 August 2024 about exterior panels, otherwise known as cladding, identified as flammable and deemed for replacement at Fiona Stanley Hospital, the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre, and Joondalup Health Campus, and ask for each hospital site: (a) Which company was awarded the tender for the exterior panel remediation work, when was it awarded and what is the value of the tender; (b) What is the scope of the tender; (c) Have the remediation works commenced; (d) If yes, when did they commence and when are they due to be completed; (e) If no, when are they expected to begin and to be completed; (f) What disruptions are expected to occur at the hospital and the hospital precinct sites because of these remediation works; (g) What contingency plans have been put in place to address these disruptions for staff and patients; and (h) Has an independent building surveyor been engaged at each of these hospital sites to conduct an National Construction Code compliance survey for fire safety?

At Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH), cladding remediation has been staged across three tenders. One contract, valued at $1.7 million, was awarded to Duratec in August 2023. Works commenced in September 2023 and were completed in February 2024. The second tender was awarded in August 2024 for $7.9 million to Kilmore Group. Remediation has commenced, and works will be completed in 2026. The third tender is in design development phase, and further tender announcements will be made in due course.
At the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre (QEII), works are also structured across multiple tenders. One contract was awarded to the Kilmore Group in July 2024 for $5.9 million. Remediation has commenced and will be completed in 2026. The final tenders are in the design development phase, with further announcements to be made in due course.
At the Joondalup Health Campus (JHC), a tender valued at $2.2 million was awarded to the Kilmore Group in November 2024. Remediation commenced and will be completed this year.
(f)
JHC, QEII and FSH do not expect any interruption to clinical services. Any disturbance to staff and visitors, noise, or vibration impacts are being mitigated. For tenders that are due to be awarded, any potential disruptions are assessed and mitigations worked through in the planning phase.
(g)
JHC has implemented construction management plan and traffic management plans alongside necessary safety protocols.
