2. The Department of Indigenous Affairs will maintain responsibility for reporting to Government and Parliament on the implementation of the recommendations on the Royal Commission Into Aboriginal Deaths In Custody. Under the Statement of Commitment Partnership Framework provision is made for the development of a justice agreement. The Royal Commission Into Aboriginal Deaths In Custody, the Ministerial Summit Into Indigenous Deaths in Custody and the Aboriginal Justice Plan, will inform work currently being undertaken on the development of such an agreement. 3. Moneys allocated for the Aboriginal Justice Council have been returned to Treasury.
