I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) Including funds to government agencies for specified purposes, the estimated value of the cash component is approximately $42 million. (2) Yes. Broadly, the major components of the agreement are as follows - $24 million over 10 years to operate the new Miriuwung-Gajerrong Corporation. This includes setting up a special economic development unit with an investment trust; land transfers to the Miriuwung-Gajerrong Corporation, including Yardungarrl and community living areas; $11.195 million for the Ord Enhancement Scheme to address the recommendations of the Aboriginal social and economic impact assessment of Ord Stage 1 through improved government service in the region. The Kimberley Development Commission will administer the scheme. Funding priorities will be determined by the Minister for the Kimberley on recommendation of the OES management committee comprising representatives of the Miriuwung-Gajerrong people and the KDC; $6 million over five years to the Department of Conservation and Land Management to fund the management of new conservation areas with Miriuwung-Gajerrong; $381 600 to the Kimberley Land Council to cover the establishment costs of the Miriuwung-Gajerrong Corporation; and $820 000 to the Department of Industry and Resources to cover Packsaddle freehold and East Kununurra freehold establishment costs.
