Regarding the answer given to my question on notice No. 3868 on 28 June 2011 -
(1) Which metropolitan hospitals, particularly teaching hospitals, have multiple chemical sensitivity guidelines in place?
(2) Regarding those metropolitan hospitals that do not, is it intended that they will do so?
(3) If yes to (2), when?
(4) If no to (2), why not?
(5) Which Western Australian hospitals, including metropolitan hospitals, have a disability access and inclusion plan currently in place that addresses the needs of people who have multiple chemical sensitivity?
(6) Regarding those hospitals that do not, will they do so?
(7) If yes to (6), when?
(8) If no to (6), why not?

(1) Swan District Hospital and Kalamunda Hospital.
(2) No.
(3) Not applicable.
(4) There is no current Operational Directive on multiple chemical sensitivity.
(5)Disability Access and Inclusion Plans do not specifically refer to multiple chemical sensitivity but do address the issue in so far as it results in disability.
(6) No, the plan covers the issue of generic disability of individuals so affected.
(7) Not applicable.
(8) Disability Access and Inclusion Plans cover all individuals with disability. There is no need to specifically identify this condition within the plan at this time. Individuals with disability as a result of the condition are included within the existing plans.
