HYDRAULIC FRACTURING
MORATORIUM — DAMPIER PENINSULA
73. Hon KEN BASTON to the minister representing the
Minister for Mines and Petroleum:
I refer to the 27 November 2018
media release ''Government introduces strict new controls for hydraulic
fracturing'' from the Premier, the Minister for Environment and the
Minister for Mines and Petroleum.
(1) What progress
has been made in determining the boundaries of the Dampier Peninsula as it
relates to the ban on hydraulic fracturing?
(2) Have any consultations with
stakeholders in the West Kimberley occurred at this point?
(3) If yes to (2), which stakeholder
groups or individuals have been consulted?
(4) When is it
anticipated that this boundary will be established, therefore allowing this
industry to progress?
