I refer to air travel by agency staff in their portfolios, and ask for the following information for each of the past three financial years: (a) how many staff travelled interstate by an airline and what was the cost of that travel; (b) how many staff travelled within the state by an airline and what was the cost of that travel; and (c) how many staff travelled internationally by an airline and what was the cost of that travel?

(a - c) The Department of the Premier and Cabinet regularly table a Report on Overseas Travel by Mi isters, Parliamentary Secretaries and Govern ent Officers. The report provides a breakdown of the cost of overseas air travel made by agency staff. The remaining detailed information is not readily available and collecting this information would divert staff away from their normal duties and is not considered to be a reasonable or appropriate use of government resources
