CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS ACT — REPORT —
GOVERNMENT RESPONSE
880. Hon KATE DOUST to the Minister for
Commerce:
I refer to the minister's answer to my earlier question about
the tabling of addendum 4439 and tabled paper 4340.
(1) Why did the minister table a paper, as though it was the government
response, if it was a draft?
(2) Why has the addendum been posted online, as though it was the
government response, since August?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the member for the question.
(1)–(2) Frankly,
it was a mistake on the part of someone in my office providing me with a draft
copy rather than the final copy, and that has been corrected now by not being
able to withdraw the draft, but simply tabling the final response as an
addendum to it. The government's response is the addendum.
Hon Kate Doust interjected.
The PRESIDENT : Order! Hon Kate Doust asked her question.
Hon MICHAEL MISCHIN : And so the Parliament and the people of Western
Australia have the government's response.
