(a)-(b)
The Online Incident Notification System (OINS) was established as a notification system, not a public reporting system. Cyberbullying incidents are not individually recorded centrally and may be recorded within other incident types. The information requested is not readily available and disaggregating it would divert staff away from supporting schools, and is not considered to be an appropriate use of government resources.
Bullying is unacceptable and all reasonable steps must be taken to eliminate it from schools. Education Ministers across Australia have endorsed and agreed to implement the ‘National Framework for Addressing Bullying in Australian Schools’ across all school systems nationally.
