I refer to the Department of Education’s Casual Staff Seeker Tool, and I ask: (a) How many requests for relief teachers were made using the Casual Staff Seeker Tool in the 2024 school year; (b) Of the number of requests listed in (a), how many went unfilled; and (c) What is the answer for (a) and (b) for the school years: (i) 2023; (ii) 2022; and (iii) 2021?

Casual teacher requirements can be met through the Casual Staff Seeker Tool, direct employment from the school, internal relief or reallocation of classes to ensure that each class has a registered teacher.
