I refer to Matt Swinbourn MLC's announcement on 21 August that the Roleystone Community College Kiss and Ride would be upgraded, and I ask: (a) What consultation was undertaken with stakeholders including but not limited to Roleystone Community College, Roleystone Community College P&C, City of Armadale, TransWA, the crossing attendant, and nearby residents on Brooks Road; (b) What will the upgrade entail in terms of: (i) Location; (ii) Design; and (iii) Capacity; (c) When will construction begin; (d) When will construction be complete; (e) How much will the project cost; (f) How much of the project cost will be funded by the State Government; and (g) How will the remainder of the project be funded?

(a)
An officer from the Department of Education met with the Principal of Roleystone Community College and the City of Armadale in July 2020.  It was agreed that the best option to alleviate the traffic issues at the college is  to extend the Brooks Road kiss and ride.  It is the Principal’s responsibility to inform the P&C.
(b)   (i)        Brooks Road, Roleystone
(ii)       Design is being undertaken by the City of Armadale.
(iii)       Capacity has not yet been determined.
(c)              The City of Armadale is undertaking the design and construction. Design work is underway. The project is expected to be completed by the start of the school year.
(d)              To be determined by the City of Armadale
(e)              $100 000
(f)               The Department of Education has allocated funding of $100 000 for the total cost of the project.
(g)              Not Applicable
