(2) Not applicable. (3) The site has been used for custodial purposes for over 40 years, and has been used for adult women offenders since 1998. In planning for the new facility the following were undertaken; social impact study, traffic management plan, planning workshop, extensive community briefings and a planning report. The Western Australian Planning Commission also has approved the development application for the expansion of Nyandi prison.
