(1) The Department's internet website provides for partial on-line payment of publications and park passes. This service has been available since 1997. Back-end processing of encrypted credit card details is currently manually undertaken. Apiarist, flora and fauna, and terrestrial and marine tour operator licence application forms are available on line but must be printed and faxed or posted to the Department together with credit card details. (2-3) The Department plans to fully automate the on-line payment process for publications and park passes by December 2003. On line payment for low-volume licences is planned thereafter. Department of Environmental Protection, Water and Rivers Commission (1) No website has been set up which caters for on-line facility to pay fees, charges or fines. (2) Currently, the Department of Environment has not developed a facility to cater for on-line payment of invoices. As the bulk of the Department’s funding comes from the Consolidated Fund and not from fees and charges, this on-line facility has not been a high priority. (3) The Department is currently working towards the amalgamation of financial systems as part of the Department of Environmental Protection and the Water and Rivers Commission forming one entity. Once this is completed, the Department will focus on a plan to provide an on-line payment option. Office of Water Regulation (1) Office of Water Regulation does not have a website which allows fees, charges or fines to be paid on-line. (2) The Office of Water Regulation does not receive monies as part of normal core business. (3) Not Applicable. Perth Zoo (1) Facilities to pay invoices, licences, charges, fines and other fees are not currently available using the Perth Zoo website. (2) Perth Zoo is unable to accept payment for tickets, invoices, memberships, adoptions and sponsorships via its website as on-line payment facilities are not yet part of the website. (3) Perth Zoo is currently undertaking a review of e-business opportunities. A working party has been established to determine what opportunities exist and how best to take advantage of them Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority (1) BGPA does not have a website which allows fees, charges or fines to be paid on-line. (2) Bookings of functions and events would be difficult to be paid on-line due to not knowing the availability of the pavilion or grounds. (3) All fines, charges and fees can be paid electronically. On-line facilities will be available in the future (probably in 2004/05). AqWest Bunbury (1) AqWest Bunbury currently does not have an internet website established that allows for on-site payments. (2) No payments can be made on line since facility has yet to be installed. (3) Options to allow payments to be made on line continue to be investigated. On line payment likely to be provided in 2004/2005 financial year. Busselton Water Board (1) Busselton Water Board currently does not have an internet website established that allows for on-site payments. (2) No payments can be made on line since facility has yet to be installed. (3) Anticipate having facility available in 2004/2005 financial year.
