Department of the Premier and Cabinet advises:
(a-e) Bright Blue Communications Pty Ltd has been engaged to provide the services of Mr Geoffrey Wedgwood required by the Premier on major resource projects including:
? Provision of advice and to act as primary coordination and information contact within the Office of the Premier for major project proponents and government agencies; and
? Liaison with Ministers and other Government Members of Parliament.
The projects include, but are not limited to, the Oakajee Industrial Estate and Port Project and the Browse LNG Project, Anketell Port and Rail Project, Wheatstone LNG Project and the Collie Urea Project.
The Ministerial Contracts for Service Engagement Process was utilised for this engagement including review by the Ministerial Merit Panel. The contract was approved by the Director General, Department of the Premier and Cabinet.
The consultancy fees are based on the payment of hourly and daily rates for hours worked. The total estimated contract value to 3 November 2011 is $234,000 (excluding GST and expenses).
Mr Wedgwood is a director of Bright Blue Communications Pty Ltd which is based in Fremantle.
