Department of State Development advises:
(1) The Department of State Development administers 127 active projects under the Lead Agency framework. State Agreement projects by default automatically receive lead agency status as do State Initiated projects.
(2)(a) [Refer to table paper no]
(2)(b) Many Level 2 and 3 projects were pre-existing when the lead agency framework came into effect. All pre-existing State Agreements and other significant projects came under the framework at that time. Level 1 projects are only confirmed in the lead agency framework if the company seeks assistance or confirmation from Government.
(2)(c) Lead agency status is confirmed by letter from the Director General, Department of State Development.
