relation to the answer provided?
(2) Who consulted the Minister for Culture and the Arts?
(3) Did either
the Minister for Culture and the Arts, a member of his ministerial office or an

I thank the member for some notice
of the question.
(1)–(3) Legislative
Council question without notice 23 was redirected to the Minister for
Environment as it was considered to be related to the Department of Parks and
Wildlife's office accommodation. The Department of Parks and Wildlife
consulted with the Western Australian Museum, which provided advice that
informed the answer to the question. The Western Australian Museum is the
relevant management authority for the Maritime Archaeology Act 1973. Staff in
the office of the Minister for Environment liaised with staff in the office of
the Minister for Culture and the Arts.
