The METRONET Social and Affordable Housing and Jobs Package is a discrete program that relates to delivery of social and affordable housing in Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) precincts, within the State Government’s overall housing program.
As at 30 November 2023, a total of 484 social and affordable dwellings have been delivered through this discrete program, comprised of 262 social dwellings and 222 affordable dwellings.
As at 30 November 2023, there are a further 173 social dwellings and 13 affordable dwellings under construction or contract through this discrete program.
The State Government’s funding for social and affordable housing in TOD precincts continues, with current and future social housing delivery funded by the Social Housing Investment Fund.
