As at 25 March 2015 the FESA House site has been the only site released under the Hotel Incentive Policy with Tourism Western Australia as the lead agency. Other government agencies have facilitated hotel developments including the Ritz-Carlton at Elizabeth Quay, a hotel at Perth City Link, the Treasury Precinct Hotel, and Crown Tower. Furthermore, a number of privately owned hotel developments currently planned have applied for the City of Perth's Plot Ratio Bonus.
While the Policy is still active, Tourism Western Australia will not actively drive another CBD hotel development opportunity because it appears the agency's target of 1,900 additional hotel rooms by 2020 is on track to be achieved through the FESA House development, and other hotel projects initiated by Government land agencies and the private sector.
