KINDERGARTENS —
VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS
821. Hon DONNA FARAGHER to the Minister for Education and
Training:
I
refer to the answer given to question without notice 798 asked yesterday
regarding kindergarten enrolments for 2020 and the government's no jab,
no play policy. In reference to the template letter tabled yesterday, for those parents and/or carers whose child is offered a place, subject to the
provision of up-to-date immunisation documentation and/or relevant exemption
information, what is the latest date for this documentation to be provided to
schools and community kindergartens in order for their child's
enrolment to be finalised?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
Individual public schools and
community kindergartens set the date by which parents need to provide
information about their child's immunisation status and accept a place.
Enrolments are finalised when parents provide this information. If parents
provide the information after the date set, a public school or community
kindergarten will enrol the child provided a place is available.
