(1) The current percentage of freight carried by rail to Fremantle is approximately 12 per cent and growing. This compares to a rail market share of about 2 per cent when we came to Government.
(2) The interim financial assistance is being provided by government to companies involved with the metropolitan rail carriage of containers. Current recipients of the support are Intermodal Link Services and Freight Link Services.
(3) In 2006-07, Government support for the rail services to the Fremantle Inner Harbour was about $650,000.
